Tunisia guided tour

The Tunisia tour will be a journey/adventure to discover the wilder, hidden and fascinating side of Tunisia. We will travel many back roads to go from mountain vistas, typical of the Alps or Scotland, to endless wheat fields dating back to the Roman Empire, to deserts of the deep south, to mountain roads with vistas that will make us think we have changed the planet, to get to know Tunisia from the inside, without going along the classic tourist routes.

Each of the participants will be able to follow, independently, the entire route of the trip using the TRIPY satellite equipment that will be mounted on each of the bikes.The staff will consist of a 4×4 vehicle that will open the group and transport the luggage and a pick-up truck to close the group for any Mechanical Assistance.

Travel departing from Rome and transferring Italy/Tunisia by ferry: bikes will be driven by participants with assistance on board the ferries from a RUNxFUN staff person.

Services included:

• Grimaldi lines A/R ferry ticket for the motorcycle and passenger with accommodation in a 4 berth cabin that will be used only by two passengers (no “single cabin” option will be possible either on the outward or return trip).
• 12 nights hotel accommodation in double room

• Car liability insurance valid for Tunisia
• GPX track to follow the route independently and at your own pace
• Satellite localization of participants.

Costs and services not included:

• Lunches
• The drinks
• The guided tours
• The carburetor of the motorcycle
• Motorcycle rental

(To give even more freedom to participants, we have decided not to include in the cost of registration, the cost related to lunches, so that they can choose, independently, whether to have lunch and where to have it, if at all.

We will still mark where we recommend stopping for lunch i.e., where all the staff will also stop).

Costs:

• €3,700 for rider with own motorcycle;
• With rental motorcycle (Bmw750gs) from €4400;
• €3,000 for any passenger;
• €600 per person for any single room (with the sole exclusion of cabins in the ferry).

TUNISI / BEJA

Inside Tunisia's natural parks among ancient forests and verdant mountains.

BEJA / SBEITLA

The granary of the Roman Empire in Africa with a dive into the splendid archaeological excavations.

SBEITLA / DOUZ

The chott and sahara tasting.

DOUZ / MATMATA

Straight into the magnificence of the desert and through mountain passes, thinking we were on other planets to arrive in troglodyte cities.

MATMATA / GABES

Visit to Djerba, the incredible park with more than 600 crocodiles and lunch by the sea.

GABES / MONASTIR

Endless olive groves to cross by the sea passing through typical Tunisian farming villages.

Visit to the medina of Monastir in the afternoon after arrival.

MONASTIR / TUNIS

More of the power of the Roman Empire with the Zaghuan/Carthage aqueduct of more than 100km, visit to the medina of Tunis, and final dinner to close the trip.
